ACTAR Test - Review Class

This is NOT the test registration - go to ACTAR.ORG for that.

This is a one-day review of various topics, largely driven by the students. We'll discuss some test strategies, and practice various techniques that might be handy in the practical portion of the test that many students don't perform often in their regular life (remember - no computers in the classroom!)

Cost is $85 per person.

NAPARS administrator Wade Bartlett (ACTAR 789, since 1997) will be directing the discussion, with assistance.

Andy Rich of Rich Consulting has graciously offered us the use of the materials he normally uses to teach this class, and that will form the basis for some of the discussions.

Possible topics include:

  • Math/Trig review
  • Vaults / Airbornes
  • Conservation of Linear Momentum
  • Conservation of Energy
  • Pedestrian collisions
  • Evidence interpretation
  • Commercial motor vehicles
  • Time-Distance analysis
  • Speed from tire marks
  • Basic photography
  • Materials to bring for the practical portion
  • Calculating the center-of-mass of a vehicle
  • Drawing scale vehicles
  • Measuring approach & departure angles
  • Measuring departure distance

This will be held at the Grand Hotel, so you don't even need to leave the hotel!

Class size is currently limited to 30 attendees.
