Election Results for
Board of Directors and Executive Committee
 
It is with great pleasure that the NAPARS announces the results of the recent elections for Executive Committee Officers and Board of Directors. The term for these officals will begin, or continue as of January 1, 2001 and expire on December 31, 2002. The following are the results of the membership votes:

Ron Baade
Ron Baade is 41 years old and resides in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania, with his wife Pam. He has three children: Mrs. Valerie Gordon, Killeen, TX, Christa and Brandon, at home. Mr. Baade has more than twenty years with the Pennsylvania State Police, with sixteen years in collision reconstruction, and has served as the supervisor of the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit since it's inception in 1993.

He has received training from the Traffic Institute of Police Services, IPTM, Penn State University and has served as a consultant to the National Transportation Safety Board. Mr. Baade is ACTAR accredited and currently serves on the ACTAR Governing Board of Directors. He has been an active member of NAPARS since 1987, having served on the Board of Directors from 1994 to 1996.

Representing the Private Sector:
John Meserve
John H. Meserve is a nationally certified accident reconstruction specialist with more than 25 years of experience in the field. He is the President and Principal Reconstructionist at Collision Forensics, a consulting firm specializing in Motor Vehicle Accident Reconstruction, with offices in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Mr. Meserve is a native of Somersworth, New Hampshire and still maintains his residence there. Mr. Meserve holds full accreditation ACTAR and has been a member of NAPARS since 1995. He holds membership in a number of other professional organizations, including the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine. He has been operating in the private sector as an accident investigator and reconstructionist since 1982. From 1974 to 1982, he was the Senior Traffic Accident Analyst for the New Hampshire Department of Safety, where he was involved in the investigation and reconstruction of more than 1,100 fatal motor vehicle accidents. Mr. Meserve was the Chief Instructor in Accident Investigation at the New Hampshire Police Academy for several years, teaching both police recruits and veteran officers in all aspects of accident investigation. He continues to teach and lecture on the accident reconstruction-related topics for insurance companies, attorneys groups, and others interested in the field. Mr. Meserve has provided expert testimony and analysis on more than 130 occasions in courts and administrative proceedings throughout the Northeast. He also consults to major national news organizations on traffic accident-related issues, and appeared on CNN's "Burden of Proof" program relating to the tragic death of the Princess of Wales in Paris, France.
