Accident Reconstruction Journal Update
May 22, 2001

Edition, Volume 11, No. 5 (Sep/Oct 2000) has been published and was mailed during the past week. It should be reaching most of the mailboxes around the world anytime.

Due to the fact that the ARJ is still many months behind and the remainder of the 2000 issues have not even been published, NAPARS and other organizations have been putting a lot of pressure on the publisher in order to get them back on schedule. In addition, the Board of Directors had a meeting with Vic Craig (editor/publisher) following a day long board meeting, which was held on January 27, 2001. As a result, the Journal has just recently released a rather aggressive publication schedule in an attempt to get both the Journal and the Accident Investigation Quarterly back on schedule. That schedule is posted below for all of you to review.

Every effort is being made to either get the Journals back on schedule or come up with an alternative solution, and our members will be kept informed of our progress.

Tentative publication scheduled released May 17, 2001:

Issue Topic Release Date
ARJ Jul/Aug 2000 Vision/Visibility mailed out
ARJ Sep/Oct 2000 Railroad Grade Crossings mailed out
ARJ Nov/Dec 2000 Motorcycle AI 6/27/01
ARJ Jan/Feb 2001 Motorcycle AI, part 2 7/31/01
ARJ Mar/Apr 2001 Human Factors, part 1 9/12/01
ARJ May/Jun 2001 Human Factors, part 2 9/12/01
ARJ Jul/Aug 2001 Wood Sign/Post Collisions Nov 2001
ARJ Sep/Oct 2001 Guardrail Collisions Dec 2001
ARJ Nov/Dec 2001 Low Speed, Head/neck injuries Jan 2002

While much progress has been and is being made to get the Journals back on schedule, there is still a long way to go to get caught back up. We will keep you informed as to this progress or any changes to the projected release dates.
