Accident reconstruction is rapidly becoming
more widely recognized and accepted by not only the court systems, but
also by the mainstream populous.
Nearly everyday you can tune to a traffic
radio or television station and learn of a serious accident somewhere
that is currently under investigation and reconstruction by a special
team of investigators called out to conduct this specialized discipline.
The courts are becoming increasingly more familiar with accident reconstruction
and its significance in determining fault, or whether the safety mechanisms
functioned as expected in a particular collision. We are also beginning
to be recognized that accident reconstruction investigators are indeed
specialists in our fields of expertise. With the ever changing new technology
available in the area of investigation and analysis, the information
learned and exchanged is often used in the development of new safety
related innovations. As a result of this and much more, our profession
can only grow exponentially.
In the past few years we have seen great
advances in the growth, professionalism and creditability of accident
reconstruction. Much of this is due to the tremendous effort by all
of us in our endeavor to continue to learn and practice our skills.
There has also been a great deal of positive response and participation
in the certification process set forth by the Accreditation Commission
for Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR), of which NAPARS played a leading
and active role in the development and implementation of. NAPARS has
also take an active leadership role by participating throughout the
country as co-sponsor for many other association's joint conferences
and encouraging our members to support and participate in these continuing
education forums.
Thank you for visiting the NAPARS web site and
I invite you to check back from time to time to check out new additions
