Rick McAlister resides in South Paris, Maine with his wife Tanya.  He has two children; Seth McAlister of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Kayla McAlister of Portland, Maine.  Rick is currently a 23 veteran of the Maine State Police, with 20 of those years as a crash reconstruction specialist.  In 1999 Rick was promoted to Sergeant in the Traffic Safety Unit, supervising Maine’ Crash Reconstruction Program.  Rick is the principal instructor for the Maine Criminal Justice Academy Basic Crash Investigation and At-Scene Investigation programs as well as the systems administrator for Maine’s electronic crash program.  Rick is ACTAR accredited and has been a member of NAPARS since 2006.
