Ron Baade is 48 years old and resides in Mifflin, Pennsylvania, with his wife Pam. He has three children: Mrs. Valerie Gordon, Fayetteville, NC, Christa and Brandon, at home. Mr. Baade is a 25 year retiree from the Pennsylvania State Police, with over 20 years in collision reconstruction,
and served as the initial supervisor of the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit since it’s inception in 1993, until March 2002. Mr. Baade is the Senior Analyst for Commonwealth Transportation Consultants, a highway safety/collision reconstruction firm providing consulting services to the driver training, insurance, legal and motor carrier industries. He was also an instructor for the Office of Motor Carriers' National Training Center and the Institute for Law Enforcement
Education until his retirement from Commonwealth of Pennsylvania service. He continues as an instructor for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Standardized Child Passenger Safety Technician course and crash investigation courses for the Center for Law Enforcement Education. Mr. Baade is ACTAR accredited, and served on the ACTAR Governing Board of Directors from 1995 - 2002. He has been an active member of NAPARS since 1987, having served on the Board of Directors from 1994 to 1996.
